Apple Music Classical app now available for Android

Apple Music Classical app has now been released for Android users, preceding its availability on iPads and Mac devices. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and requires an active Apple Music subscription for access.

Apple Music Classical is a dedicated app for classical music. Launched initially on iOS in March 2023, it provides ad-free streaming with high-quality 192 kHz / 24-bit lossless audio and supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio. The app boasts a vast library with over five million tracks, including vocals and instrumentals, making it one of the largest in its genre.

Users can easily search for specific recordings by composer, work, conductor, or catalogue number. In addition to timeless classics from renowned composers like Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, Apple Music Classical regularly updates its collection with new releases from emerging musicians.

Availability

Apple Music Classical is compatible with all Apple Music subscriptions, except for the Apple Music Voice Plan. It is accessible in most markets where the main Apple Music service is available, excluding China, Japan, Korea, Russia, and Taiwan.

Additionally, Apple Music Classical can be accessed on Android phones running Android 9 (Pie) or later – download the app from Google Play Store. While the app is now available on Android, its availability for Mac and iPad users is yet to be determined.
