Now get Delhi Metro Airport Express Line tickets on WhatsApp

After Bengaluru and Chennai Metro, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a WhatsApp-based ticketing service. As of now, commuters on the Airport Express Line (AEL) will be able to use the WhatsApp chatbot-based QR code tickets from their smartphones.

This service was launched by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, from Metro Bhawan in the presence of other senior officials.

How to book DMRC tickets on WhatsApp?
  1. Send “Hi” to +91 9650855800
  2. Select the preferred language – Hindi or English
  3. Select “Buy Ticket”
  4. Choose your origin and destination
  5. Enter the number of tickets
  6. Make Payment and get your ticket as QR code

You can also select more options to view last journey, and retrieve tickets. It offers UPI payment, and you also get a separate link to pay via cards or net banking.

Do note that you can book a maximum of only 6 QR Tickets through this method and validity of QR ticket is the end of the business day. Further, cancellation of ticket is not allowed in WhatsApp Ticketing.

Regarding the announcement, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation states that,

This facility will make commuting more efficient and seamless for commuters especially, national and international travelers heading for or coming from the Airport using AEL, as they can now purchase and use tickets generated in their phone itself through a dedicated WhatsApp chatbot (available in English and Hindi language) as per their convenience.
