OnePlus V Fold surfaces in first set of renders

The first foldable phone from OnePlus has surfaced in the first set of renders, thanks to @OnLeaks. This shows Hasselblad branding, alert slider and a leather-like finish for the back, but it could also come in other variants with a glass back.

Since the renders show antenna bands, it should come with a metal frame. The phone is said to come with triple rear cameras, including a periscope camera, and the flash is present on the left corner, outside the camera cut-out.

The phone is said to feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button. Even though the punch-hole camera for the outer display is on the top centre, it is on the left-side for the outer screen, according to the images.

We still don’t have the exact screen size of the phone yet, but the outer screen is large and is quite different from the small 9:8.4 aspect ratio screen present in the OPPO Find N2.

Launch date?

OnePlus has already confirmed that the foldable phone will launch in the second half of 2023, and rumours say that it will launch in August.

The company has already trademarked OnePlus V Fold and V Flip names with the China National Intellectual Property Administration, so V Fold could be the name of the phone.
