OnePlus V Fold specs surface: 7.8″ 2K foldable AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2


OnePlus is set to unveil its first foldable phone, the OnePlus V Fold, later this year. Renderings of the foldable device were surfaced last week, and now key specifications have been revealed, thanks to @OnLeaks.

The OnePlus V Fold is said to feature a 7.8-inch 2K foldable AMOLED screen with a resolution of, 3200 x 1440 pixels. Additionally, there will be a 6.3-inch outer AMOLED screen.

Both displays will provide a seamless and uniform experience with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen will house a 32MP front camera, while the inner screen will feature a 20MP front camera.

Under the hood, the OnePlus V Fold will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and boast 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The phone will sport a circular module on the rear, housing a triple camera setup comprising a 48MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens.

In terms of software, the OnePlus Fold V will run Oxygen OS 13.1, based on Android 13, out of the box.

To keep the device running, a substantial 4800mAh battery will be included, which surpasses the 4520mAh battery found in its OPPO counterpart, the OPPO Find N2. Both devices, however, have the same 67W SUPERVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge technology.

OnePlus has already confirmed that the foldable phone will launch in the second half of 2023, and rumours say that it will launch in August. We should get more information regarding the official launch in the coming months.
