OPPO launched the Reno10 series smartphones in India today. This comes after a year of the launch of Reno8 series. The company did not launch the Reno9 series in India. We have the Reno10 Pro+, and this is is the first time the company is launching a Pro+ version in the country. We got to check out the smartphone. Here are our first impressions.

The phone has a 6.74-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen which a centre punch-hole. Since it has up to 1400 nits brightness, the screen is bright even outdoors, and the 100% DCI-P3 and sRGB wide color gamut offers vibrant colours. It has 120Hz refresh rate screen and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. There is also 1440Hz PWM dimming to avoid flickering in low brightness.
Inside the tiny punch-hole, there is a 32-megapixel camera with Sony IMX709 sensor. The earpiece grill is present on the top edge, which doubles up as a secondary speaker.
It has an ultra narrow bottom bezel. The phone features an in-display fingerprint scanner. It runs Android 13, and the phone will get three years of OS and four years of security updates.
It is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC that offers a good performance. The phone has 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone has OPPO’s exclusive Ultra-Conductive Graphite and Super-large VC liquid cooling area. The heat dissipation capacity is increased by 92% compared to the Reno8 Pro, and its overall heat dissipation capacity is increased by 4%, and the temperature while gaming (PUBG) is lowered by 2.1°C, says the company.
Coming to the button placements and ports, the power button is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. There is nothing on the left. The dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top, along with a speaker vent and an IR blaster. The phone doesn’t have an expandable storage.

The phone also has a MariSilicon X self-developed NPU with 3.5 billion transistors that is capable of 18 trillion operations per second. This processing muscle results in crisp and clear 4K Ultra Night video even in the most challenging scenarios, said the company.
The 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x zoom is the highlight. It has AI-enhanced imaging features such as Night Portrait and Bokeh Flare video.

The phone has a glass body with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back. The Glossy Purple that we have has an encased in gemstone-like glossy glass and has metallic hue. It also comes in Silvery Grey with OPPO Glow design.
The phone packs a 4,700mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging that can charge up to 50% in 9 minutes and 30 seconds and 100% in 27 minutes. The OPPO’s Battery Health Engine (BHE) technology lets the phone perform at its peak for four years straight without a fall in battery health and at the same high safety levels, said the company.
