Scaler, an edtech startup in India, has announced the integration of its GPT-4 powered AI teaching assistant into the Scaler Academy program. This move aims to reduce doubt resolution time for learners and improve their learning outcomes.
The AI assistant offers round-the-clock support, enabling students to learn at their own pace and address potential pain points in understanding problems, identifying optimal problem-solving approaches, and code debugging.
Learners can input their queries as prompts, and the GPT-powered assistant provides suitable responses without revealing the actual solution. This hands-on approach encourages self-driven learning, empowering learners to develop problem-solving skills and gain a deeper understanding of concepts.
Moreover, Scaler has introduced a ‘Text Help Request’ (THR) feature that enhances doubt resolution by utilizing advanced machine learning algorithms such as BERT and Distilled BERT. According to the firm, within a week of implementation, the THR feature has already shown a 30% better resolution of help requests, significantly impacting learner satisfaction.
Availability
Since its pilot launch, over 6000 learners have accessed the AI teaching assistant, with a positive impact on their ability to solve problems independently. Scaler plans to make both the AI Assistant and THR features accessible to all 35,000 learners in the Scaler ecosystem in the next three months.

These new features greatly boost productivity for our learners, aiding them with all the means necessary to work their way around complex concepts and problem-solving challenges.
