Samsung Wallet now includes Samsung Pay, Samsung Pass, and Digital IDs Management in India


Samsung India has announced that the Galaxy smartphone users can now access essential Digital IDs, including Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Vehicle Registration Certificate, and Co-WIN vaccination certificates through Samsung Wallet.

The new Samsung Wallet incorporates travel and mobility features, combining Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass functionalities. Users can enjoy seamless card Tap and Pay, UPI payments, bill payments, FASTag account management, and save flight boarding passes and train tickets conveniently within Samsung Wallet.

Enhanced Convenience for Users with New Samsung Wallet
  • Access to Over 2,000 IDs/Documents: Users can access a wide range of IDs and documents directly from Samsung Wallet, without Samsung storing any of this information.
  • Travel-Ready: Show proof of identity and travel documents at airports directly from Samsung Wallet, making it highly convenient.
  • Development and Security: The new features of Samsung Wallet are developed by a dedicated team at the Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore.
  • Samsung Wallet prioritizes security with special methods like tokenization and Samsung Knox, a defense-grade security platform, safeguarding users’ personal and financial information from potential threats.

Samsung Pay using Samsung Wallet

Samsung Pay, now merged with Samsung Wallet, offers a simple and secure payment method. Users can make payments effortlessly with a swipe or tap using their Galaxy smartphones, ensuring convenience at its best.

Samsung Pass integrated with Wallet

Samsung Wallet includes Samsung Pass, enabling easy access to apps and services through saved passwords and biometric authentication.

Samsung Knox Protection

Samsung Wallet’s defense-grade security platform, Samsung Knox, ensures data protection with fingerprint recognition and encryption. Sensitive information is stored in an isolated environment, the embedded Secure Element, further safeguarding against digital and physical hacking.

SmartThings Find with Samsung Wallet

Even if the phone is lost, Samsung Wallet remains protected by Samsung Knox and biometric authentication. SmartThings Find allows users to remotely disable Samsung Wallet and lock their device for added security.

Availability

The all-new Samsung Wallet is now available for Galaxy smartphone users as an update to their existing Samsung Pay service. This update can be accessed through the Galaxy Store and can be installed either automatically or manually.
