Bing Chat is coming to Google Chrome and Safari

Microsoft added Bing Chat integration in Bing.com earlier this year, and also expanded integration of Bing Chat across Microsoft’s copilots. Now, the company has started testing Bing Chat integration in Bing.com for Google Chrome and Safari users.

I was able to test this in Chrome running Windows 10, but it still recommends using Microsoft Edge browser. The company is also testing the Bing Chat feature for Safari users.

Microsoft is also testing dark mode for the Bing Chat, which can be enabled from Appearance > Dark or System Default. However, I didn’t get the dark mode option yet, so it looks like this feature is yet to be rolled out to everyone.

We can expect the wide roll-out of Bing Chat to other browsers in the coming weeks, once the testing is complete.

Regarding the Bing Chat roll out for Chrome and Safari, Microsoft’s director of communications, Caitlin Roulston, in a statement to The Verge, said:

We are flighting access to Bing Chat in Safari and Chrome to select users as part of our testing on other browsers. We are excited to expand access to even more users once our standard testing procedures are complete.
