The OPPO A78 features a 6.43-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate that we had seen in several phones. It also has HDR support for Amazon Prime Video. Since it has up to 600 nits peak brightness, the screen is bright even outdoors.

It has an 8-megapixel camera in the top left corner. The earpiece is present on the top edge, and it doubles up as a secondary speaker.

The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner, and you can see slightly thicker bezels below the display.

Powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC, the phone has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 8GB of virtual RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1.

The power button and the volume rockers are present on the right. The dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slot is present on the left. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the speaker grill are crammed in the bottom. The phone doesn’t have a secondary microphone on the top.

The phone has dual rear camera that includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. It has 1080p video recording support with both the front and rear cameras. Wish the phone had an ultra-wide camera. Check out some camera samples.

The Aqua Sea Green that we have is inspired by sparkling lakes and tropical seas, and the Fog Mist goes beyond pure black, adding 3-dimensional depth from the dark clouds in the sky and lakes glistening at night, said the company.

The phone has the same, 5000mAh battery from the A77, but it upgrades 33W fast charging to 67W SuperVOOC charging that can charge up to 100% in about 45 minutes.

The OPPO A77 is priced at Rs. 17,499 and is available from retail stores with bank offers.
