TECNO today launched the POVA 5 series phones in India. We have the Pova 5 Pro, which has LED light effects on the back. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The phone has a 6.78-inch (2460 x 2400 pixels) FHD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The screen is bright since it has up to 580 nits peak brightness.
There is a 16MP front camera inside the tiny notch. The earpiece is present on the top edge, which doubles as a secondary speaker. You can see the LED flash on the bezel.
The phone runs Android 13 with HiOS 13 on top. Under the hood, the Pova 5 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 6080 SoC. It even has a large vapor chamber cooling. It has support for 10 5G bands, has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UMCP storage.
Coming to button placements, the power button with embedded fingerprint scanner is present on the right along with volume rockers. The dedicated Dual SIM slot with microSD slot is present on the left. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The vent for the speaker is present on the top.
The phone has dual rear cameras that include a 50MP main camera and an AI camera. It supports 2K video recording from both the front and rear cameras. Check out some camera samples.
The phone has a cyber-inspired 3D textured design that looks like glass. It has LED light effects that display lighting in sync with the rhythm of the music played, as well as calls and notifications which are customizable. The company is calling it Arc Interface. It also has IPX2 ratings for splash resistance.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging that can charge the phone up to 50% in 15 minutes. The phone also has bypass charging when gaming that can charge the battery directly without interfering with the motherboard. This will extend battery life and reduce heat, says the company. There is also 10W reverse charging to charge other phones.
The POVA 5 Pro 5G is priced starting at Rs. 14,999 and will be available from Amazon.in starting from August 22nd.
