Lenovo is developing a gaming handheld known as Legion Go, similar to ASUS’ Rog Ally, as reported by windowsreport.com. The device’s design resembles other competitors, but it notably draws inspiration from the Nintendo Switch.
The design is a mix of features from various competitors: removable joy-cons, button layout resembling Rog Ally, an 8-inch screen, and a trackpad like the Steam Deck.
According to the report, Legion Go will run on Windows 11, potentially offering a complete replacement for a gaming PC. It’s expected to feature AMD’s new Phoenix processors, promising a robust gaming experience.
The device’s power is indicated by sizable air vents on its back and a stand to accommodate an additional controller. In terms of ports, the usual shoulder buttons and side triggers are present. Notably, back triggers and a discreet wheel on the right joy-con’s rear surface add functionality.
The device is equipped with two USB-C ports, a power button, a headphone jack, volume adjustment buttons, and a micro-SD slot. The detachable joy-cons suggest touch sensitivity for the screen, which aligns well with Windows 11’s touch-friendly nature.
As of now, there is limited information about other specifications and the release date. Further information is anticipated to surface in the forthcoming days.
