Sony has introduced a special offer for the PlayStation 5 console this August. The company is providing the Sony PS5 standard disc edition at a reduced price through participating retailers.
Earlier in July this year, Sony had a limited-time discount of Rs. 7500 for the PlayStation 5, which ended on August 7th. This means that the PS5’s price has been lowered to Rs. 47,490 from its original retail price of Rs. 54,990.
It’s important to note that this discount only applies to the standard disc edition, while the digital edition’s price remains unchanged. The Sony PS5 gaming console comes in two versions: the Standard Edition and the Digital Edition.
The key difference between them is that the Standard Edition supports physical Blu-ray discs. This new offer is a response to the price increase that occurred in November of the previous year.
Availability
From August 24th to September 2nd, 2023, the Sony PlayStation 5 Standard Disc Edition will be available at a special price of Rs. 47,490, discounted from the original Rs. 54,990. This discount does not apply to the Digital Edition, which will remain at its regular price.
