Samsung brings ‘Try Galaxy’ App to Non-Android devices

Samsung has introduced a new update for its Try Galaxy app, allowing users of non-Android smartphones to try out the user-friendly One UI 5.1.1 and discover features from the latest Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 devices.

The updated Try Galaxy app now includes a unique feature that uses two connected phones to simulate the foldable experience of the Galaxy Z Fold5’s screen.

Once the Try Galaxy app is downloaded, users can access helpful tutorials and explore apps and widgets, simulating the experience of a Galaxy phone’s home screen. They can also try out various functions available through Samsung Galaxy devices.

Key Features of Try Galaxy app

The enhanced app focuses on showcasing the main features of the Galaxy Z Flip5, Z Fold5, and One UI 5.1.1:

FlexCam Experience: Users can experiment with the FlexCam mode of the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. Through the app, users can see how these foldable devices offer new ways to capture moments from creative angles. The Galaxy Z Flip5’s large cover screen allows for quick and easy selfie-taking.

Immersive Screen and Multitasking: Users have the ability to link two devices together, forming a unified screen. This setup allows for an immersive experience as video demonstrations can be viewed in full screen. Moreover, the system’s enhanced drag and drop capabilities facilitate seamless multitasking by enabling easy transfer of content between screens.

Connected Ecosystem: Users can discover the offerings of the Galaxy ecosystem, such as Quick Share for devices nearby and far away, using Samsung Health’s body composition data in conjunction with a Galaxy Watch, and other exciting possibilities with Galaxy devices. This is all demonstrated through the seamless One UI 5.1.1 interface.

Availability

The app is now available in 20 languages, including recently added options like Korean, Czech, Hungarian, Latin American Spanish, and Russian.

It’s important to note that the Try Galaxy app exclusively operates with Safari on iOS devices released on or after September 16, 2016.
