The Snapdragon G Series for handheld gaming now comes in three tiers: G1, G2, and G3, featuring the new Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 Platform.
Snapdragon G1: Lag-Free Game Streaming
The Snapdragon G1 empowers fan-less handheld gaming devices for smooth game streaming, both locally and through the cloud. It emphasizes lag-free connections and extended battery life, enabling players to enjoy console and PC games without interruption.
The first product in this tier is the Snapdragon G1 Gen 1 Platform, equipped with a Qualcomm Kryo CPU (8 Core) and Adreno A11 GPU, optimizing handheld game streaming quality.
Snapdragon G2: Full-Featured Mobile and Cloud Gaming
The Snapdragon G2 is tailored for full-featured mobile and cloud gaming, incorporating an efficient processor and advanced 5G and Wi-Fi 6/6E connectivity from Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 Mobile Connectivity System.
The Snapdragon G2 Gen 1 Platform is the initial offering, delivering top-tier mobile and cloud gaming experiences with an optimized Kryo CPU (8 Core), gaming-focused Adreno A21 GPU, and Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of mobile and cloud gaming capabilities.
Snapdragon G3: Premium Enthusiast Gaming
The Snapdragon G3 tier, Qualcomm Technologies’ flagship, is engineered for superior performance and enthusiast-level features, leveraging their gaming innovations.
The latest addition to this tier is the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 Platform. It features an 8-core Kryo CPU and Adreno A32 GPU, offering over 30% improved CPU performance and double the GPU speed compared to its predecessor.
This platform introduces advanced gaming features such as hardware-accelerated ray tracing, game super resolution, XR glass tethering, and low-latency premium Bluetooth audio with the Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite. It also provides high-speed wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi 7 High-Band Simultaneous (HBS), 5G sub-6, and mmWave.

Companies like AyaNeo, Huaqin, Inventec, and Thundercomm are partnering with Qualcomm on handheld gaming devices powered by Snapdragon G Series Platforms.
To expedite the release of high-end dedicated gaming devices and accelerate the development of future handheld gaming designs, the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 Handheld Gaming Reference Design is now accessible for select OEMs and ODMs.
