AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT for 1440p gaming announced


At the Gamescom 2023 event, AMD introduced two new graphics cards: the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT. These cards are designed to deliver exceptional performance for demanding AAA and esports games played at 1440p resolution.

AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT

The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card is a powerhouse for 1440p gaming. It features 60 AMD RDNA 3 unified compute units and offers a remarkable 20% better performance-per-dollar compared to its competitors.

AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT

The AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card is tailored for 1440p gaming, equipped with 54 AMD RDNA 3 compute units. It also provides a 20% higher performance-per-dollar ratio compared to other options. Both these graphics cards serve as excellent upgrades for users with older cards.

AMD RDNA 3 Architecture: Redesigned compute units with unified ray tracing and AI accelerators, plus second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology and ray tracing technology.

Dedicated AI Acceleration: Optimized AI accelerators for the latest AI tasks, delivering over 2X better performance on average compared to AMD RDNA 2 architecture.

Next-Gen AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR)

AMD also introduced the next-generation FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR), a technology that enhances image quality and FPS using motion vector data.

FSR 3 is set to provide significant performance boosts and improved image quality in various supported games across different platforms.

AMD Software Enhancements

The new release of the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition application is expected on September 6, 2023.

This release includes AMD HYPR-RX technology, which optimizes AMD Radeon Super Resolution, Anti-Lag, and Boost technologies for performance improvement. It also introduces AMD Radeon Anti-Lag+ technology for reducing input lag on a per-game basis.

Starting September 6, 2023, both graphics cards will be accessible from top partners like ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX, and Yeston. The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT will also be purchasable on AMD.com from the same date.
