Jio Haptik Technologies Limited has unveiled Jio’s advanced 5G services through WhatsApp. This version of 5G, named stand-alone 5G, is cutting-edge and doesn’t rely on the 4G network.
At the 46th annual general meeting (AGM), Jio shared that their 5G is now active in over 96% of the census towns across India, and more places will be covered before the year ends.
WhatsApp Assistant for 5G Compatibility
Haptik has built a special WhatsApp Assistant for Jio. This unique tool helps both Jio and non-Jio users check if their area is 5G ready. People can also ask for 5G connections based on their device and location. The assistant works in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Tailored Experience through Chatbot
The chatbot offers customized options based on user type (postpaid or prepaid), device, location, and even outage management by pin code.
Jio will use Haptik’s Proactive Messaging to inform and engage new and existing users about the 5G launch. This feature aims to encourage more people to embrace this groundbreaking network technology.
Haptik has introduced Click-to-Haptik, a tool to help Jio run ads on Facebook and Instagram. The goal is to spread awareness about 5G and initiate conversations on WhatsApp for purchasing 5G connections.
Commenting on the announcement, Haptik Co-founder & CEO Aakrit Vaish, said:
Haptik’s WhatsApp chatbot plays a crucial role in enabling customers to leverage the robust features of 5G, including 5G voice, minimal latency, edge computing, and network slicing.
