Sony ELF-SR2 Spatial Reality display with 27″ 4K screen launched in India

Sony India has introduced a new product called the ELF-SR2 Spatial Reality Display. It’s a 27-inch 4K screen that showcases lifelike 3D content without requiring special glasses or VR equipment. The display boasts sharp images and a 3D effect that truly feels realistic. Additionally, it offers responsive performance, ensuring smooth visuals.

The display delivers exceptional color accuracy, covering approximately 100% of Adobe RGB, thanks to its 10-bit processing and wide color gamut support. It also features a super-resolution engine capable of upscaling content from 2K to 4K.

This display is compatible with various software, including Unity and Unreal Engine, and is prepared for upcoming technologies like OpenGL, DirectX 11/12, and OpenXR, making it easier for creators to develop VR and AR content.

Sony is developing a website where users can find apps compatible with the display. They are also creating an app that simplifies showcasing 3D projects on the screen, especially for users of specific design software.

The ELF-SR2 display is user-friendly and compatible with a wide range of computers. It offers flexible setup options, including wall mounting, thanks to its detachable stand and adherence to the VESA mounting standard.

Additionally, it allows seamless switching between 3D views for two viewers, making it ideal for collaborative meetings and discussions.
