Google Pixel Watch 2 India launch confirmed

Google did not launch the Pixel Watch last year, but now the company has confirmed that it will launch the Pixel Watch 2 in India. It has also announced that the smartwatch will launch on October 5th in the country, a few hours after it is introduced at the US event on October 4th.

The Pixel Watch 2 will be sold on Flipkart, similar to the Pixel smartphones, and the company will also launch the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro on the same day.

The teaser video shows a familiar water droplet-inspired design from the last-generation, a new rotating crown design that is smoother and rounded, thinner stem, and the microphone hole is now present next to the crown. The band mechanism is also similar to the first generation Pixel Watch.

You can also see the text Google, Pixel Watch 2, IP68, Water Resistance 50m (5 ATM), EDA, Heart Rate Sensor, Sleep Tracking, and SPO2 on the back. The sensors on the back are now arranged in a 3×3 grid, and there is an EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for stress management and tracking.

Earlier rumours revealed Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 (SW5100) chipset, Custom Coprocessor, 2GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC storage, skin temperature sensor, 4G LTE option and a 306mAh battery with fast charging.
