Apple has just unveiled the highly anticipated Apple Watch Ultra 2, successor to the last year’s Watch Ultra, packed with new features and improvements. The Ultra 2 introduces the powerful S9 SiP, new double tap gesture, brighter display, extended altitude range, and more.
The Watch Ultra 2 boasts Always-On Retina display with a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, making it 50 percent brighter than its predecessor and the brightest display ever created by Apple. It runs on watchOS 10, which offers a range of redesigned apps, the new Smart Stack, exciting cycling experiences, and features designed to enhance outdoor exploration.
The powerful S9 SiP on the Watch Ultra 2 delivers systemwide improvements and introduces the innovative double tap gesture. With just a simple double tap of the index finger and thumb, users can effortlessly control their Ultra 2, making common actions quicker and more convenient.
The watch is said to be rigorously tested for use in extreme environments, with a range of altitudes from 500 meters below sea level to a staggering 9,000 meters.
For the first time, Siri requests can be processed directly on the Watch Ultra 2, providing quicker and more reliable responses for tasks like starting a workout or setting a timer. Siri can also access and log health data from the Health app, allowing users to effortlessly track their progress and make health-related inquiries.
