After the announcement at the WWDC back in June, Apple has started rolling out iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 for its devices globally. iOS 17 brings big updates to Phone, Messages, and FaceTime, brings StandBy, a new full-screen experience and more.
AirDrop in iOS 17 makes it easier to share and connect with those around you and adds NameDrop for contact sharing and brings updates to Widgets, Safari, Music, AirPlay, and more.
iPadOS 17 brings a redesigned Lock Screen, new Stickers experience for Messages, new Health app, Productivity improvements. iPadOS 17 also includes updates to Safari, Keyboard, Music, AirPlay, and more.
watchOS 10, the biggest update since the introduction of Apple Watch, brings a fresh look for virtually every app, new ways to navigate, and a new Smart Stack. It introduces enhanced capabilities for cycling workouts and hiking, a new mental health experience in the Mindfulness app.
tvOS 17 lets users make calls directly from Apple TV 4K, or start calls on iPhone or iPad, and hand them off to Apple TV 4K. FaceTime on Apple TV 4K takes advantage of Continuity Camera support to wirelessly connect to iPhone or iPad, and leverages the devices’ cameras and microphones to bring participants together on the TV.
Coming later this year, tvOS apps from Webex by Cisco and Zoom will take advantage of Continuity Camera and expand their communications capabilities to Apple TV 4K.
