TECNO just introduced the Phantom V Flip, the company’s first flip phone, at an event in Singapore, as it had promised. It has a 6.9″ FHD+ foldable 10-120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen and a circular 1.32″ secondary outer AMOLED display which also comes with an Always-On feature along with a variety of personalization options like checking notifications, weather updates and more.
The combination of high-strength ultra-thin glass and a self-developed drop-shaped hinge delivers a crease-free experience, says the company. Tecno says it has high durability of over 200,000 folds.
The phone has a 3D curved body with Flexible Hoverlock design that can be adjusted at 30° to 150° flexible angles It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G chip, which is similar to the Dimensity 1300 chip, and has 8GB of RAM along with 8GB of additional virual RAM and 256GB storage. The phone also comes with Ultra-Thin VC Liquid Cooling.
The phone runs Android 13 with HiOS 13.5, and the company has promised 2 Android OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches. The phone has Ella GPT 3.0, an advanced AI chatbot, a tool that lets users build human-like conversations like sharing their thoughts, asking for travel plans etc, says the company.
The phone has a 64MP rear camera along with a 13MP ultra-wide camera. There is a 32MP front camera on the inner screen. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery with support 45W fast charging that can charge up to 33% in 10 minutes, 100% in 45 minutes and comes with a charger in the box.
