Nokia Beta Labs Mobile Site Launched

Even though it was possible to browse Nokia Beta Labs on mobile devices earlier, it was a tough task. So the folks at Nokia decided to launch a mobile optimised Nokia Beta Labs Website.

The Nokia Beta Labs Blog has also been renewed. The mobile version of the site although with minor bugs is not perfect and they are working on fixing all the problems.

For all of you who are wondering what is beta labs , it is an initiative by Nokia to launch applications in Beta for diehard mobile app users and testers.

Here is the press release:

Browsing Beta Labs on a mobile device was becoming cumbersome, but it is time to get relief for that now. Let me present: The mobile optimized Beta Labs!

Now, if you point your mobile device to beta labs (want a 2D barcode?), it should identify your mobile device and show you the mobile optimized version of the site instead of the desktop version. If this doesn’t work, or if you’re curious to see it on the desktop browser, you can scroll down to the bottom and click the “Show mobile version” button.

We know it is still miles from being perfect, but you have to admit, its a big step into the right direction! Please, try it out and post your feedback on the Beta Labs specific forum.

The  blog got renewed now as well. Now, the blog has been moved under the same system, so you are logged in with your Nokia Account. Commenting is done in the same familiar way as in the forum. There are still some rough edges on it, so feedback is welcome on that, too!
