Samsung is gearing up to unveil its new Galaxy tablet in India under its Galaxy Tab A series. The firm has revealed the launch date on Amazon as October 5, 2023.
Samsung has teased the tablet’s arrival on Amazon India’s website with two banners that read, “New Galaxy Tab Coming Soon” and “Unveiling on 5th Oct.” While the banners don’t explicitly mention the tablet’s name, they belong to the Galaxy Tab A9 category, as indicated in the image names, confirming that this is indeed the Galaxy Tab A9.
What’s particularly exciting is the possibility of an S Pen coming with the Galaxy Tab A9, as one of the banners shows a stylus beside the tablet. Additionally, the teaser images reveal that the tablet will have a single rear camera and evenly sized bezels around the screen.
As for the tablet’s specifications, FCC certification suggests the Galaxy Tab A9 will be approximately 8.7 inches in size and will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging speed. It’s expected to offer 4G connectivity as an option.
The Google Play Console certification provides further insights, indicating that the tablet will be powered by the MediaTek MT8781 chipset, have 4GB of RAM, and run on Android 13 (One UI 5.1). The display is said to have a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels.
Samsung is also in the process of developing the Galaxy Tab A9+, which has been certified by multiple agencies. However, there’s no word yet on the availability of the Galaxy Tab A9+ in India.
