Acer has introduced two new Chromebook laptops: the Acer Chromebook Plus 515 and Acer Chromebook Plus 514. These laptops are part of Google’s Chromebook Plus initiative, aiming to provide improved Chromebook performance through better hardware.
Acer Chromebook Plus 515
Features a 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080 resolution) IPS display with touch or non-touch options and anti-glare support. Powered by 13th Gen and 12th Gen Intel Core processors (up to Core i7) and offers up to 10 hours of usage on a fast-charging battery.
They support File Sync for offline access to Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Both models are U.S. MIL-STD 810H compliant, ensuring durability. They feature an OceanGlass touchpad and an optional backlit keyboard.
In line with Acer’s Earthion mission, the Chromebook Plus 515 and 514 models incorporate eco-friendly features such as recycled materials, sustainable packaging, and an energy-efficient design that meets Energy Star certification.

Comes with a 14″ WUXGA display with anti-glare coating, 16:10 aspect ratio, and a resolution of 1920 x 1200, with touch or non-touch screen options. Powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 7520 C-Series processor, offering up to 12-hour battery life with fast-charging capability.
Both models provide 8 GB to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offer responsive SSD storage options, with up to 256 GB for the 14-inch version and up to 512 GB for the 15-inch model. They support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 and come with various ports, including dual USB Type-C and HDMI.
Both laptops feature 1080p webcams with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) and Blue Glass lens, along with AI-powered tools for improved clarity, lighting, noise cancellation, and background blur. They also have a physical webcam shutter for privacy, one-click mute for the microphone, and dual upward-firing speakers with DTS Audio.
The Acer Chromebook Plus laptops, suitable for productivity and creativity tasks, come with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express for photo editing and graphics creation. The laptops have built-in editing features like Magic Eraser and video editing tools.
