Samsung Electronics has introduced its latest T-series Portable Solid State Drive (SSD) called the T9. This portable drive is designed with a focus on both style and durability, following the rugged design concept of the T7 Shield. The T9 features curved diagonal lines and reverse carbon patterns on its surface, giving it a unique texture.
The T9 offers impressive sequential read/write speeds of up to 2,000 megabytes per second (MB/s) using the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface. This is roughly twice as fast as the previous T7 model, enabling users to transfer a 4-gigabyte Full HD video in just about two seconds.
You can choose from three different storage capacities for the T9: 1 terabyte (TB), 2TB, and 4TB, catering to the needs of various users. Additionally, it includes Samsung’s Dynamic Thermal Guard to prevent performance drops due to overheating, ensuring consistent and fast transfer speeds.
The T9 also meets international safety standards (IEC 62368-1) and can withstand drops from heights of up to three meters. It comes with a five-year limited warranty too.
Samsung has ensured compatibility across different devices, including Windows, macOS, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, and high-resolution cameras. The T9 includes USB Type C-to-C and USB Type C-to-A cables for convenience.
The Samsung Magician software enhances user experience with features like performance benchmarking, security functions, firmware updates, and real-time health status checks. The latest 8.0 version, integrates all Samsung software, expanding OS support to Windows, Mac, and Android for user convenience.
