Google Pixel Buds Pro gets Bluetooth super wideband support, new colors and more

Google has released a major update for Pixel Buds Pro, incorporating enhanced AI features. These improvements are designed to work well with the Pixel 8 series.

Pixel Buds Pro will also be available in new colors, Bay and Porcelain, to match the Pixel 8 series and the Pixel Watch 2. The updates for Pixel Buds Pro include:

Clearer Voice Calls: Pixel Buds Pro use smart technology to enhance your phone calls. They support Bluetooth Super Wideband on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which makes your voice sound better. It also reduces background noise on the other end of the call.

Hands-Free Conversations: Thanks to AI, you don’t need to take out your earbuds to talk. Conversation Detection pauses your music when you start speaking and resumes it when you stop. No need to touch anything.

Faster Gaming Audio: For gamers, Pixel Buds Pro minimize the delay when playing on Bluetooth. This makes your gaming experience more immersive and dynamic. Available with Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

Hearing Wellness Suggestions: The Pixel Buds Pro app helps you understand your listening habits and gives advice on keeping your hearing healthy. It reminds you when to lower the volume.

Chromebook Compatibility: The Pixel Buds app is now available on Chromebooks. You can adjust settings, change noise control modes, and update firmware directly from your Chromebook.

Availability

These updates are rolling out today for Pixel Buds Pro users. You can also pre-order them in two new colors (Bay and Porcelain) for USD 199.99 (Rs. 16,639 approx.) in the U.S.
