In celebration of International E-Waste Day, ASUS India introduces the #DiscardResponsibly campaign, focusing on educating people about the importance of proper e-waste disposal and encouraging individuals to responsibly dispose of electronic devices, with the motto: ‘You can recycle anything with a plug, battery, or cable!’
The United Nations predicts that in 2023, each person will produce about 8 kg of e-waste, resulting in 61.3 million tonnes of electronic waste worldwide. To combat this, ASUS India is raising awareness and organizing home-collection drives across the country.
ASUS India’s Sustainability Efforts
ASUS India is committed to reducing e-waste by using recycled materials in their products. ASUS has also introduced the ASUS Select Store, offering a range of refurbished laptops equivalent to new products.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED laptop, for example, incorporates a high percentage of recycled aluminum and magnesium-aluminum alloy in its construction.
To further spread awareness, ASUS will conduct on-ground campaigns at over 40 ASUS stores, educating customers on reducing e-waste and providing them with jute bags and plants to encourage waste reduction.

The campaign is also aimed at creating a conversation and driving awareness on how anything with a plug, battery, and cable needs to be discarded and used cautiously to ensure maximum life.
