Xiaomi entered into a partnership with Leica in 2022. Since then, the company had used several phones, including the last Xiaomi 13T series with Leica optics. Today, the company has confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series Leica Summilux lens.
Xiaomi said that the camera on the Xiaomi 14 series with Leica Summilux lens will offer the best mobile imaging to date, and a new professional high-dynamic image sensor for mobile optics will allow mobile devices to truly use and capture images with complete capabilities in all situations and scenarios.
Leica Summilux lens have been used in HUAWEI phones, which was one of the first smartphone partners for Leica. Xiaomi 12/13 series, Xiaomi 12S Ultra concept phone and Leica’s own Leitz Phone 2 use”Summicron” lenses.
Some images with LEICA VARIO-SUMMICRON branding surfaced recently. Xiaomi also confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series later this month. Earlier rumours revealed October 27th launch date, and we should know more details during the Snapdragon Summit on October 24th.
