Google has introduced several new features to its YouTube Music platform. These additions are aimed at improving your music experience and making it more personalized.
Google also pointed out that YouTube attracts more than 2 billion monthly visitors who come to enjoy their preferred music. Here’s what’s new:
Easily Find and Play Your Favorite Music
Google is working to make it easier for you to discover and play your favorite songs. In the coming months, a new feature on the Home tab will help you quickly access the songs and artists you love. This feature is designed to save you time and make your music exploration more convenient.
Discover New Music Effortlessly
YouTube has introduced a Samples tab, offering short video segments for discovering new music. Swipe vertically to explore different songs and add the ones you like to your collection. This feature makes music discovery fun and hassle-free.
Customize Your Listening Experience
YouTube Music allows you to tailor your listening session to your preferences. You can create your own radio station by selecting your favorite artists and adjusting the mood and style of the music. This puts you in control of your music experience.
Create Unique Playlist Art with AI
Google is rolling out an experimental feature for English language U.S. users that lets you create customized playlist art with the help of generative AI. You can choose from a range of visual themes to express your personal playlists’ uniqueness.
Express Yourself and Connect with Others
YouTube Music now enables you to engage with other music fans through comments. You can join conversations, share your thoughts, and interact with the broader community right within the app. This feature keeps you connected with fellow music enthusiasts.
Follow Lyrics Alongside Your Favorite Songs
Google has introduced timed lyrics in YouTube Music. Now you can follow the song lyrics on-screen as you listen.
Tap on a specific lyric to jump to that part of the song, making your listening experience even more enjoyable.
Availability
The AI-powered Playlist art feature is initially available for English language U.S. users and will expand to other regions and languages globally.
