SuperGaming introduces Indian Battle Royale ‘Indus’ in Fortnite

SuperGaming based in Pune, recently introduced the Made-in-India battle royale game, Indus, in Fortnite during the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) 2023 held in Hyderabad.

Indus Battle Royale Mobile in Fortnite

Indus was created by a two-woman team at SuperGaming using Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) in just 27 days. While the mobile version of Indus will have a Closed Beta during the festive season, the version for PC and macOS in Fortnite Creator Mode offers a different gaming experience.

In addition to the game’s environments, the unique win condition of capturing Cosmium, a resource that appears on the map, has also been added to the Fortnite version of Indus.

Players can provide feedback on the game and influence SuperGaming’s development direction, in line with their player-centric approach seen in their successful titles like MaskGun and Silly Royale.

MaskGun, a popular multiplayer shooter, has gathered over 80 million players and regularly involves the community in in-game events, including celebrations like Diwali.

Availability

For those interested in Indus Battle Royale Mobile, it’s available for pre-registration on Google Play and will soon be accessible on iOS. The Closed Beta for the game is set to launch this Diwali, with the release date to be announced shortly.

If you can’t wait, you can try out the game by downloading the Alpha APK from the official website.

Speaking at the launch, Christelle D’cruz, Co-founder at SuperGaming, said:

We learned, built, and created Indus with UEFN in about 27 days with no prior Unreal experience. This allows us to test Indus’ gameplay with external audiences faster and provides more gamers the opportunity to experience Indo-Futurism through their favorite game, Fortnite.

Commenting on the launch, Roby John, CEO and Co-founder at SuperGaming, said:

At SuperGaming, we strongly believe that India’s rich culture and talent deserve the largest global platform. With Fortnite boasting approximately 220 million monthly players worldwide, there’s no better way to showcase Indus and Indo-Futurism to the world.
