Lava International has announced the appointment of Sunil Raina as its Whole Time Director, with immediate effect. Raina will also serve as the Interim Managing Director, following approval by the company’s board during a meeting on November 06, 2023.
This management reshuffle at Lava comes as the company’s former MD, Hari Om Rai, along with a Chinese national and two others, is currently in judicial custody in connection with alleged money laundering linked to smartphone company Vivo.
Sunil Raina has played a vital role in driving Lava’s business growth over the past five years, serving as the President and Business Head. His tenure has witnessed the introduction of unique product lines such as Lava Agni, Blaze, and Yuva series.
Prior to his role at Lava, Raina held positions at prominent Indian telecom companies including Tata Teleservices, Airtel, Reliance Communications, and Uninor.
