We recently told you that Samsung is launching little brother of Samsung Galaxy S2 which is known as the Samsung Galaxy Z and it’s a cheap alternative of Samsung’s flagship device. It was only introduced in Sweden first but now it looks like Samsung is planning to launch it in UK too as CNET is reporting that Samsung will launch it as Samsung Galaxy R and it will hit UK by the end of July, and I am sure this is good news for all people who loves SGS2 but it’s too expensive for them. At the moment, we don’t know which carrier or retailer is launching it and for how much? But I am sure the carriers and retailers who are interested in this device will be announcing it soon.
It’s a cheap alternative of SGS2 but that doesn’t mean it comes with some lame specs. It’s featuring a 4.2 inch S-LCD WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.3 with Touch Wiz UI, 5MP rear camera capable of recording video in 720p and 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling, and 8GB of internal memory. What I like in it is that it comes with a metallic back case which gives it a better look than the SGS2. So our lovely readers in UK, are you looking forward to Samsung Galaxy R or you are happy with SGS2?
