Redmi K70 Pro: 2K OLED screen with up to 4000 nits peak brightness confirmed

Xiaomi recently confirmed the launch of Redmi K70 series on November 29th in China. This includes the Redmi K70 Pro powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Today, the company has confirmed more details about the phone.

The Redmi K70 Pro will feature a second generation high-end 2K Chinese OLED screen jointly developed with TCL Huaxing featuring new C8 luminescent material, which consumes less power. It has a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits and a manual brightness of up to 700 nits. At the same time, this screen also supports 3840Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, which is very rare among 2K screens, said the company.

The proportion of blue light is reduced by 5%, compared to the previous generation, says the company. Xiaomi added that it has worked with eye hospitals and used clinical data to customize 6 dimensions and 19 test indicators for medical guidance, engineering implementation, and
a new concept of “medical and industrial integration” for scientific eye protection, revolutionizing eye protection standards.

This shows antenna bands on the sides, confirming a glossy aluminum alloy frame for the phone. The camera lens Deco has also undergone special processing. The main camera is a 50MP unit with OIS, and the telephoto lens supports 2X optical zoom, according to the images.
