Redmi K70: Up to 4000 nits 2K OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Light Fusion 800 sensor confirmed

After confirming the details about the Redmi K70 Pro, Xiaomi has confirmed the details about the Redmi K70, ahead of tomorrow’s launch in China.

The Redmi K70 Pro will feature the same second generation high-end 2K Chinese OLED screen jointly developed with TCL Huaxing featuring new C8 luminescent material, which consumes less power.

It has a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits, supports 3840Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, which is very rare among 2K screens, triple TUV Rheinland eye protection certification, 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 12-bit 68.7 billion colors.

Xiaomi’s product director Wang Teng Thomas said, “Redmi has been insisting on promoting the development of domestic flagship screens. With the efforts of our professional screen R&D team, we have brought you a top-notch 2K screen on the K70 series!”

The image also confirms a metal frame, glass back, and it has the same 1/1.55″ Light Fusion 800 sensor from the K70 Pro, but lacks the 2X telephoto camera present in the Pro model, so it will likely include a standard macro sensor.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, an upgrade from Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the K60. The company says that the phone has scored 1,717,026 points on AnTuTu 10, and the phone uses maximum potential of the SoC. Benchmark listing already confirmed up to 16GB of RAM, and live images revealed Android 14 with HyperOS on top.

We should know the price when the Redmi K70 series goes official tomorrow.
