OnePlus has already confirmed the launch of its flagship OnePlus 12 smartphone in China on December 5th. Today, reliable OnePlus tipster Max J has revealed that the phone will be launched globally at an event in India on January 23rd.
To remind you, the OnePlus 11 was launched in India on February 7th this year, and the launch date was confirmed back in December 2022. Even though the company has started teasing the phone on the OnePlus India site along with some of the features, it is yet to officially reveal the launch date.
We also saw the OnePlus 11R 5G, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro, OnePlus Pad and the OnePlus Featuring 81 Pro being unveiled. OnePlus also showcased the OnePlus Hub 5G Router and said that it will launch in July 2023, but it didn’t happen.
Based on earlier rumours, we can expect the OnePlus 12R, OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus Buds 3 at the January event.
OnePlus recently confirmed Sony LYT-808 sensor for the phone, and also confirmed that the phone will feature a 1/2-inch 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens with an equivalent focal length of 70mm, support for 3x optical zoom.
The company has also confirmed 2K “X1 (Oriental) Screen” from BOE with up to 2600 nits brightness, and OPPO’s first-generation self-developed image quality engine Display P1 chip.
It will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, feature up to 24GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. Earlier rumours revealed a 5400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless fast charging.
