realme GT5 Pro: 6.78″ 1.5K 144Hz LTPO OLED screen with up to 4500 nits peak brightness confirmed

After confirming the camera and battery specs, realme has confirmed the display specs of the company’s flagship realme GT5 Pro smartphone ahead of the China launch on December 7th.

realme already teased 6.78″ 1.5K curved AMOLED display for the phone. realme China CMO Xu Qi Chase already revealed that the phone will feature over 3000nit peak brightness. Today, the company has confirmed that the phone will feature 4500 nits peak brightness, same as the OnePlus 12.

The phone has 1600 nits global maximum brightness and 1000 nits manual maximum brightness. It has Pro-XDR high dynamic display, TUV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, high-brightness DC Dimming, 8T LTPO tech, 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, 144Hz refresh rate, and 20,000 levels of dimming, said the company.

realme China CMO said that this offers the industry’s best screen brightness experience, which can bring users a real and leading visual experience in terms of parameters and experience. Competing flagships offer 4000 nits peak brightness, but these only offer 1200 nits global maximum brightness and 700 nits manual maximum brightness, he added.

Certification already revealed a 6.78-inch (2780×1264 pixels) display for the phone. The company already confirmed Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and now it has confirmed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It will pack a 5400mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging that can charge up to 50% in 12 minutes and will also come with 50W wireless charging.

Based on recent listing, the realme GT5 Pro is expected to start at 3499 yuan (USD 495 / Rs. 41,255 approx.).
