Collaborating with local ODMs, Acer manufactures a range of IT hardware products, including laptops, desktops, tablets, servers, workstations, and PC monitors, with an annual capacity exceeding 3 million units.
Venturing into AI and ‘Conscious Technology’ Vision
Beyond traditional computing, Acer is delving into the realm of artificial intelligence, particularly Generative AI. The company is developing AI-powered PCs aimed at transforming user interactions with computers.
Acer’s “Conscious Technology” vision, introduced at the Dubai COP28 Global Press Conference, focuses on creating technology with future considerations, including a commitment to carbon neutrality for the Aspire Vero laptop line.
Sustainable Practices and Environmental Impact
Acer is dedicated to environmental sustainability, pledging to source 100% renewable electricity by 2035, achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, and implement 20-30% post-consumer recycled plastic in computers and monitors by 2025.
The company actively involves its critical suppliers in environmental initiatives, with 60% committed to RE100 or science-based carbon reduction targets.
