We have already seen the leaked pics, videos and specs of the Blackberry’s upcoming smartphones – the BlackBerry Torch 2 and the BlackBerry Touch/Volt. Both the handsets runs on the BlackBerry OS 7. The guys at Pocketnow has shared the first press shots of these smartphones. It means that, both the smartphones are expected to be announced soon. BlackBerry recently tweeted that, the company will announce new BlackBerry OS 7 powered devices tomorrow. It means that, both the Torch 2 and Touch smartphones might be announced as early as tomorrow.
BlackBerry Torch 2 is the successor of the popular BlackBerry Torch smartphone. This handset will feature a 3.2 inch TFT LCD display, 1.2 GHz processor, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording, 768 MB RAM, Wi-Fi, NFC connectivity, 8 GB internal memory and more. On the other hand, BlackBerry Touch is expected to come with a 3.7-inch WVGA display, 1.2 GHz processor, 3G Connectivity, 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, etc. This handset was earlier codenamed as Monaco and Monza for the CDMA and GSM versions respectively.
The original Torch was launched exclusively for the AT&T customers, while the Storm 2 was available for the Verizon customers in the US. So we can expect that, the Torch 2 and Touch will be available to the AT&T and Verizon customers respectively. Stay tuned for more info!
