Details regarding the Nothing Phone 2a surfaced recently, and the sketch of the phone showed a new rear camera design and a change in the glyph interface. This also revealed MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC for the phone, model number A142 and codenames Pacman / Aero.
Now the camera and display specifications of the phone have surfaced, thanks to tipster Kamila (@Za_Raczke) who has got hold of the firmware of the phone.
Display
The wallpapers of the phone have also surfaced. The wallpapers are named ‘Ruxe’, ‘Nexul’, ‘Azunim White’, ‘Orbique’, ‘Rubrane Black’, ‘Ambra’, and ‘Virmar’. You can download them from the source link below.
The resolution of the wallpaper is 2412 × 1084, almost the same as the Nothing Phone (2). The screen from China’s Visionox and BOE with the model number rm692h5 is said to be an 120Hz AMOLED panel, and the screen size is expected to be 6.7-inches, same as the Phone (2).
Camera
The Phone (2a) is said to use a 50MP 1/1.5″ Samsung S5KGN9 sensor along with a 1/2.76″ 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide camera. The front camera is said to use a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor. The Phone 2 used a IMX890 sensor, but the ultra-wide and the front camera are the same.
Availability
This also reveals PacmanIND (India), PacmanJPN (Japan), PacmanEEA (Europe), and Pacman (global) models, so we can expect the phone in several countries, in addition to India and Europe.
We still don’t have any details about the launch. Nothing has scheduled an event at the MWC 2024 on February 27th, so it is possible that we could get some details there, even though some rumours point to Nothing Phone (3) details being revealed at the event.
