itel A70 with up to 256GB storage teased ahead of India launch, could be priced under Rs. 8000

itel India has started teasing the itel A70, a new budget smartphone for India, on its social pages. The brand promotes the smartphone as the “next big thing,” and the Amazon listing reveals its design with the camera module similar to the itel S23+ and other itel devices.

It is said that the itel A70 could be India’s first phone with an expansive 256GB ROM and a robust 12GB RAM under Rs. 8000. The Amazon listing also confirms the same, showcasing the smartphone’s large storage capacity and multitasking capability. Do note that the 12GB of RAM includes 8GB of virtual RAM along with 4GB of embedded RAM. There’s also a 128GB variant of the phone.

The smartphone will come in four colors – Black, Gold, Blue, and light Green, along with a notch display. Like the itel S23+, this smartphone will also come with a Dynamic Bar, mimicking Apple’s Dynamic Island, that offers instant access to features like face unlock, background calls, charging animation, charge completion reminders, and low battery reminders.

Further, we could also spot the dual ‘Matrix Camera’ setup along with a side-mounted fingerprint reader and volume rockers placed on the right side of the device.

We are expecting the launch of the itel A70 smartphone to happen early next year or sometime in January. Considering the USP of the smartphone, which is its larger storage capacity at an affordable price, it can reach a wider audience in the price segment of under Rs. 10,000.
