LG webOS Re:New program announced for older TV models

LG has been mentioning its latest webOS Re:New program in its recent product announcements for CES 2024. Now it has been confirmed that the new and refined software is coming to older LG Smart TVs as well.

In early 2024, the webOS Re:New program will bring the latest webOS upgrade to every model in LG’s 2022 OLED TV lineup, LG OLED Flex, LG OLED Objet Collection Posé as well as LG’s 2022 QNED Mini LED 8K (QNED99/95 series).

The new webOS is poised to bring a more personalized user experience to older TV models. The user interface is highly customizable and lets users personalize the selection of content and services and access them with even greater ease.

Furthermore, the main home UI screen features Dynamic Q Card for fast, effortless access to its services, with the customized organization into groups, such as Home Office, Home Hub, Sports, and Games.

The company has also added advanced security technology and optimized the operating system, bringing a high level of stability, security, and seamlessness throughout the entire viewing experience.

LG webOS, which powers more than 200 million LG TVs, will continue to evolve through significant upgrades, and the firm is poised to invest heavily in it to secure a vast library of content and services.

Regarding the matter, Baik Seon-pill, leader of the LG Home Entertainment Company’s Product Planning Division said,
