Acer Swift Go, Swift X 14, Aspire Vero 16, Aspire Go 2024 laptops with Intel Core Ultra AI processors announced


Acer has refreshed its Swift family of thin and light laptops and Aspire series with the announcement of 7 new models ahead of CES 2024. The new models focus more on AI performance, thanks to the new Intel Core Ultra processors with AI Boost, and Intel Arc GPU.

All the  models come with a dedicated Copilot button on the keyboard, giving users instant access to the Microsoft Copilot AI service.

Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-72) and Swift Go 14 (SFG14-73)

The new Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 feature vibrant, color-rich OLED displays with 500-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color range, and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The former features a 3.2K OLED 120Hz display while the latter features a 2.8K OLED 90Hz display. Plus, they feature the option for WUXGA touchscreen displays to enable touch and pen input.

When it comes to design, both laptops feature a light aluminum chassis, which can be opened to 180 degrees, a multi-control lighting touchpad on certain models, and an OceanGlass touchpad with  44% larger scrolling space.

With the latest ‘Evo Certified’ models, Acer promises a performance boost of up to 45% compared to last-generation models, all thanks to next-gen Intel Core Ultra 9 Processors with support for up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM with Intel Arc GPU.  Both models are expected to deliver a good battery life of up to 12.5 hours for the 14-inch laptop and up to 10.5 hours for the 16-inch version.

Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G)

The company distinguishes the Swift X lineup with a dedicated NVIDIA GPU. It features up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with MUX switch and new Intel Core Ultra H-Series processors. Further, it includes Studio Drivers, exclusive AI tools, and DLSS 3.5 with AI-powered Ray Reconstruction to handle the most graphically demanding software.

There’s a large fan, dual D6 copper heat pipes, and a dedicated air inlet keyboard to help keep the laptop cool. It has The Calman-verified 14.5-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED display that ensures impressive color accuracy with Delta E<2.

Additionally, it supports up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, dual USB Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a MicroSD card reader, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth LE Audio.

Acer Aspire Vero 16 (AV16-51P)

Aspire Vero 16 is marketed as an ‘AI PC’ and is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with Intel AI Boost. The model reaffirms Acer’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality while minimizing its carbon footprint throughout the lifecycle.

It features a new eco-chic design with its smoothened surface, and a tactile chassis that contains no volatile organic compounds, paint, or additives, and is made with 60% PCR material, resulting in less CO2 emissions during production.

The Aspire Vero 16 has a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. There’s also an option for a WUXGA touchscreen. The connectivity options include Bluetooth LE Audio, two USB Type-C ports (Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4), and an HDMI 2.1 port.

The laptop promises a long-lasting battery life of up to 10.5 hours on a single charge. Additional features include a 1440p QHD webcam with AI-assisted Acer PurifiedVoice, support for up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM which, and up to 2 TB dual PCIe Gen 4 SSD of upgradable storage.

Aspire Go Laptops (2024): Aspire Go 15 (AG15-31P), Aspire Go 14 (AG14-31P), Aspire Go 14 (AG14-21P) 

The Aspire Go 15 (AG15-31P) and Aspire Go 14 (AG14-31P) models are powered by up to Intel Core i3 N-Series processors, while the Aspire Go 14 (AG14-21P) features AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors to provide responsive performance, coupled with up to 10 hours of battery life across all models.

The Aspire Go 15 and Aspire Go 14 also boast several eco-friendly features as they incorporate recyclable materials in their cover and packaging. It supports up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 SSD.

The Aspire Go 14 models feature a WUXGA panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio while the Aspire Go 15 models feature an FHD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Acer BlueLightShield technology used for displays helps to protect the eyes during extended viewing periods.

Pricing and Availability

The Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-72/T) will be available in North America in March, starting at USD 799.99 (Rs. 66,460 approx.), and in EMEA in February, starting at EUR 1,149 (USD 1,256 / Rs. 1,04,390 approx.).

The Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-73/T) will be available in North America in March, starting at USD 749.99 (Rs. 62,310 approx.); in EMEA in February, starting at EUR 1,099 (USD 1,201 / Rs. 99,825 approx.), and in China in February, starting at RMB 5,499 (USD 768 / Rs. 63,830 approx.).

The Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G) will be available in North America in February, starting at USD 1,399.99 (Rs. 1,16,315 approx.); in EMEA in February, starting at EUR 1,799 (USD 1,967 / Rs. 1,63,405 approx.), and in China in February, starting at RMB7,999 (USD 1,117 / Rs. 92,850 approx.).

The Acer Aspire Vero 16 (AV16-51P) will be available in North America in April, starting at USD 749.99 (Rs. 62,310 approx.), and in EMEA in March, starting at EUR 1,199 (USD 1,311 / Rs. 1,08,950 approx.).

The Acer Aspire Go 15 (AG15-31P) will be available in North America in February, starting at USD 249.99 (Rs. 20,770 approx.), and in EMEA in February, starting at EUR 529 (USD 578 / Rs. 48,065 approx.).

The Acer Aspire Go 14 (Intel processor) (AG14-31P) will be available in North America in March, starting at USD 249.99 (Rs. 20,770 approx.), and in EMEA in March, starting at EUR 549 (USD 600 / Rs. 49,875 approx.).

The Acer Aspire Go 14 (AMD processor) (AG14-21P) will be available in North America in March, starting at USD 379.99 (Rs. 31,570 approx.), and in EMEA in March, starting at EUR 649 (USD 709 / Rs. 58,900 approx.).
