boAt partners with Ceva for connectivity, sensing, and inferencing technologies


boAt has announced a a strategic partnership with Ceva to deliver technology innovation across boAt’s next generation of wearables and hearables. Ceva is a US-based leading licensor of silicon and software IP that enables Smart Edge devices to connect, sense, and infer data more reliably and efficiently.

boAt Labs, the company’s in-house R&D team, will leverage Ceva’s connectivity, sensing, and inferencing technologies. Through this collaboration, Ceva and boAt will partner to select Bluetooth audio chipsets from Ceva licensees for boAt product lines and optimize Ceva value-add software packages for these products, including TWS earbuds, neckbands, headphones, smart speakers, and smartwatches.

boAt has also announced the first product that would launch under this partnership, the Nirvana Eutopia Spatial Audio headphones. The company’s first spatial audio headphones would feature Ceva’s Bluetooth, Audio AI DSP, and its RealSpace spatial audio software solution with precise head tracking.

RealSpace is a fully-embedded Spatial Audio solution from Ceva that combines precise 3D rendering and accurate, low-latency head tracking. It also provides an option to render content directly on TWS earbuds, headphones, or XR headsets for the lowest latency.

By utilizing this tech, the boAt Nirvana Eutopia is poised to offer dynamic head-tracking capabilities that further enhance the spatial audio experience when it launches in Q1 of 2024.
