MSI Claw handheld gaming device, new laptops announced

At CES 2024, MSI announced the latest AI-powered laptops lineup that is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors with a dedicated NPU, a series of 18-inch laptops featuring the newly announced Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series processors, and many more gaming and content creation laptops.

Additionally, MSI has also introduced its gaming handheld device, Claw, the first handheld equipped with the Intel Core Ultra Processor.

In addition to these new AI laptops, MSI also introduced AI-based software features listed below:

  • AI Engine Optimization: Automatically optimizes laptop settings based on the application, ensuring an enhanced user experience.
  • AI Artist: Offline text-to-image service, boosting productivity for content creators with features like image-to-image and exporting PSD files.
  • AI Noise Cancellation Pro: Merges advanced microphone hardware with AI-powered noise cancellation for studio-quality voice in any environment, customizable for optimal performance.
MSI Claw

MSI Claw handheld gaming device features a 7″ FHD display with 120Hz refresh rate, and up to Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 155H with Intel Arc graphics. It has Intel XeSS technology that significantly enhances FPS, ensuring a smooth and immersive gameplay experience even on AAA titles.

The Claw is equipped with MSI Cooler Boost Hyperflow thermal technology, the intraflow thermal design redirects the airflow to cool the internal components, ensuring optimal gaming performance even in the palm of your hand, said the company.

It runs Windows 11 Pro OS and offers software features MSI APP Player that offers access to Android mobile games.

New 18-inch Gaming Laptops Family: Titan 18 HX/ Raider 18 HX / Stealth 18 AI Studio

MSI also introduced a newly designed 18-inch gaming laptop family, featuring the dual CES award-winning Titan 18 HX, the extreme performance powerhouse Raider 18 HX, and the lightweight 18-inch gaming laptop Stealth 18 AI Studio.

The Titan 18 HX and Raider 18 HX are equipped with Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU graphics, while the Stealth 18 AI Studio boasts the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processors. These models feature an 18″ UHD+ MiniLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio.

Furthermore, the Titan 18 HX features the biggest new vapor chamber cooler thermal solution in the market and supports MSI OverBoost Ultra, delivering an industry-first 270W total power, while the Raider 18 HX provides an impressive 250W full total power.

MSI Vector HX/ Crosshair HX/ Pulse AI Gaming Laptops

The new Vector 16/17 HX, Crosshair 16/17 HX, and Pulse 16/17 AI all released with full GPU power, featuring up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU. The Vector 16/17 HX, and Crosshair 16/17 HX feature up to Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX CPU while Pulse 16/17 has up to Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPUs.

Notably, the Vector 17 HX is equipped with MSI Overboost technology that offers a total power output of 250W. MSI’s new Crosshair HX and Pulse AI series laptops feature a total of 6 exhaust and 2 intake ports. This innovative thermal design enhances the airflow to ensure optimal performance.

The Crosshair 16/17 HX and Pulse 16/17 AI have a brand-new aesthetic with a 24-zone RGB keyboard backlight that elevates the gaming environment with stylish illumination.

MSI Sword HX/ Cyborg/ Thin 15 gaming laptops

MSI has expanded its gaming laptop lineup for the mainstream. The Sword 16/17 HX comes in space grey with PCR materials, and offers a 24-zone RGB backlit keyboard, 16/17″ 240Hz IPS panel, up to Intel Core i7 processor 14700HX and RTX 4070 laptop GPU.

The Cyborg 15 AI, with the latest Intel Core Ultra processor and up to RTX 4060 laptop GPU, boasts a futuristic translucent chassis for style and performance. It offers 14″ and 15.6″ IPS display options with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Thin 15 boasts a sleek and portable gaming design and a translucent WASD blue backlit keyboard. It features a 15.6″ 144Hz IPS display, up to Intel Core i7-13620H processor, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU.

MSI Prestige 16 AI/ Prestige 14 AI/ Prestige 13 AI laptops

The Prestige AI series is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. Leading the lineup is the ultralight Prestige 16 AI, weighing only 1.5kg, has a magnesium-aluminum alloy, and houses a 99.9WHr battery for up to 19hrs battery life.

The Prestige 14 AI, on the other hand, features the largest battery (90Whrs) in the 14-inch class. Both models, available in 16-inch and 14-inch versions offer up to UHD+ (3840 x 2400) resolution OLED panel and support up to PD 3.1 140W Charging.

Certified by Intel Evo and Nvidia Studio, the Prestige 16 AI and Prestige 14 AI series combine high performance and lightweight portability, said the company.

The Prestige 13 AI Evo is another ultralight powerhouse weighing just 990g and boasts a remarkable 75WHrs battery, up to 50% larger in capacity compared to similar laptops.

MSI Content Creation Series

MSI has also refreshed its content creation product line with the new Creator Z17 HX Studio, Creator 16 AI Studio, Creator M14, and Creator M16 HX.  The Creator Z17 HX Studio features a vapor chamber cooler thermal design that positions it as the most powerful content creation laptop in the lineup.

The Creator 16 AI Studio features a 16″ UHD+ (3840×2400) MiniLED display and weighs less than 2 kg for easier portability. Expanding the range of choices for content creation laptops, MSI also introduced the Creator M14 and Creator M16 HX. These additions provide creators with a wider selection, catering to diverse preferences and requirements in the content creation space.
