After teasers and rumours, realme has confirmed the launch of realme 12 Pro Series 5G in India on January 29th. It has also posted a new video starring Shah Rukh Khan showcasing the phone’s camera prowess.
The teaser highlights “flagship design” and “flagship photography”, and the company says that realme 12 Pro Series 5G is committed to making users’ expectations real.
This will be the first phone in the realme number series with a 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and the phone will support up to 120x SuperZoom. It will also come with OIS. The company also highlights IMX890 sensor for the main camera with OIS.
At an event in Las Vegas for the media, the company showcased the advanced periscope telephoto technology. The phone will feature a luxury watch design, for which it has partnered with Luxury Watch Designer Ollivier Savéo. The phone has a premium design experience previously exclusive to luxury timepieces, said the company.
Collaborating with Qualcomm, realme said that it has enhanced image processing with the MasterShot Algorithm. The realme 12 Pro Series is the first and only device in its segment to process RAW domains, ensuring top clarity, dynamic range, and realism in cinematic portraits, the company added.

The next-generation omni-focal MasterShot Algorithm is a flagship-level architecture that offers the industry’s most advanced computational photography. It integrates the LightFusion Engine for enhanced clarity and tone, plus the NightEye Engine for superior night photography. The Series also features a unique movie portrait filter, allowing effortless capture of striking portraits.
The teaser shows the phone in Submarine Blue with a vegan leather finish that uses premium silicone material with 30% increased softness compared to the previous generation used in the realme 11 Pro series.
There is a 3D Jubilee bracelet with diamond patterns running through the centre part of the back, and the Golden Fluted bezel around the camera module has 300 precision-crafted triangular grooves. Around the cameras there is a polished sunburst dial with 500 gradient patterns.
