Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, a mid-range 7 series Mobile Platform last year, as a major upgrade to the 7 Gen 1. Even though we saw the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, it was not as powerful as the 7+ Gen 2. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 with the model number SM7675 is in the works.
The leaker said that this will adopt 1-5-2 microarchitecture, same as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 just like the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 which used the 1+3+4 architecture as the 8+ Gen 1.
If this is true, we can expect Cortex-X4 based prime cores, Cortex A720-based performance and Cortex-A520 base efficiency cores, same as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The leaker said that this could be the most powerful Snapdragon 7 series chip in history, which might be true if this uses such powerful cores.
This will likely outperform the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 which is currently the most powerful mid-rang SoC from MediaTek since this only uses A715 and A510 cores.
Since the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 was introduced in March, we can expect the successor in a couple of months. HONOR 100 and vivo S18 were only two devices that adopted the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip last year.
