OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 12R, the company’s latest smartphone in the R series in India along with the OnePlus 12, as it had promised. It packs a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED with 1-120Hz 8T LTPO panels, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and supports wet hand control.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It has 9140mm² Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System, more than 76% bigger than the one inside OnePlus 11R.
The phone has a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX890 sensor, support for OIS, along with a 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera, same as the Oneplus 11R. It runs Android 14 with OxygenOS 14, and will get 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
The phone still retains the three-stage alert slide, but the company has repositioned it to the left-hand side of the phone, which allows OnePlus to introduce a new integrated antenna and the Alert Slider solution on the new device to deliver an enhanced antenna performance for gaming, said the company.
Cool Blue is a glossy finish with a light, fresh appearance, while Iron Gray has a matte feel to give a sophisticated and strong feeling, says the company. The company will launch OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition in the future.
It packs a 5500mAh battery, the largest on a OnePlus phone, and supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charge, which can fully charge the phone in 26 minutes. It is equipped with a SUPERVOOC S power management chip and proprietary Battery Health Engine technology.

The OnePlus 12R comes in Cool Blue and Iron Gray colours and is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and the 16GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 45,999.
It will go on sale from February 6th from Amazon.in, OnePlus online store and OnePlus experience stores offline.
