realme just launched the realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ smartphones in the realme 12 series in India, as it had promised. These have a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved AMOLED with ultra narrow bezels and 2160Hz PWM ultra-high frequency dimming, same as the 11 Pro series.
The phones also feature ProXDR that analyzes the image content transmitted by the camera, optimizing photo effects for a complete range of brightness and dynamic range.
The realme 12 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and the 12 Pro+ is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. These pack up to 12 GB of RAM with up to 12 GB of RAM expansion. The phones feature 3D VC Cooling system with 3394mm² vapor chamber in the 12 Pro+.
The phones run Android 14 with realme UI 5.0 out of the box, and should get 2 Android OS updates and 3 years of security updates, similar to the previous Pro series phones.
The realme 12 Pro+ has a 50MP rear camera with Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS. It has a 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with OIS offering 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and the phone supports up to 120x SuperZoom. The realme 12 Pro has a 50MP IMX882 sensor with OIS, but this has a 32MP portrait camera. Both the phones feature a 8MP ultra-wide camera.
The phones feature a luxury watch design, for which it has partnered with Luxury Watch Designer Ollivier Savéo. The phone has a premium design experience previously exclusive to luxury timepieces, said the company. It has a vegan leather finish.
Collaborating with Qualcomm, realme said that it has enhanced image processing with the MasterShot Algorithm. The realme 12 Pro Series is the first and only device in its segment to process RAW domains, ensuring top clarity, dynamic range, and realism in cinematic portraits, the company added.
Both the phones pack a 5000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging that can charge the phone up to 50% in 19 minutes and 100% in 48 minutes.

Pricing and availability
The realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ come in Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige colours and the 12 Pro+ also comes in India-exclusive Explorer Red version which will be available from February 9th, just in time for the Valentine’s Day.
The realme 12 Pro is priced at Rs. 25,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and the 8GB + 256GB costs Rs. 26,999.
The realme 12 Pro+ is priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and the top-end 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 33,999.
These will be available from realme.com, Flipkart and offline stores from February 6th. There is an early access sale from 6 to 8PM today, January 29th across these online channels and also through offline channels.
