HTC launches HTCdev site with OpenSense S3D and Pen SDK


HTC has launched HTCdev site for developers that provides access to OpenSense framework including all available HTC SDKs. This would allow the developers develop to mobile applications with better integration. It was announced early June with the registration for developers.

HTC OpenSense SDK will provide access to the APIs of Common Controls, the Stereoscopic 3D display, and the Tablet Pen. The SDKs will be available as two separate HTC add-ons for phones and tablets.

The Common Controls API will provide Sense UI look and feel to the applications. The Stereoscopic 3D (S3D) API allows the developers to create applications that directly uses the 3D functionality and the API for HTC EVO 3D from Sprint is now available. The Tablet Pen API provides further customized solutions using HTC Scribe technology.

HTCdev site also provides access to kernel source codes for HTC products and the option to unlock the bootloaders using web tool would be available soon. More new features would be added to the OpenSense SDK to enable deeper integration into the HTC Sense experience in future.
