HONOR has just introduced two new smartphones in China: the HONOR Magic6 RSR Porsche Design and the Magic6 Ultimate.
In terms of design, the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design features a hexagonal camera setup on the back, while the Magic6 Ultimate sports a square-ish camera island. Despite these differences, both phones share most of their internals with the regular HONOR Magic6 Pro.
The Porsche Design model opts for a hexagonal camera island made of glass, while the Ultimate model features a vegan leather backplate with a unique vertical line for grip.
Dimensions for both models measure at 162.5 x 75.8 x 8.9mm, with the Porsche Design weighing 237 grams and the Ultimate weighing 227 grams.
The display boasts a 6.8-inch Dual-Layer OLED Tandem Display with a pill-shaped camera cutout, offering a resolution of 2800 x 1280 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It’s also Dolby Vision certified and protected by HONOR Diamond Giant Rhino Glass.
Under the hood, both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for the Magic6 RSR | Porsche Design, and 16GB of RAM with 512GB/1TB of storage for the Magic6 Ultimate Edition.
They are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance and feature anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield protection. Inside, a 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the devices, accompanied by HONOR SuperCharge tech supporting 80W wired Type-C charging and 66W wireless charging.
The rear setup includes a 50MP Super Dynamic Falcon Camera (adjustable aperture f/1.4-f/2.0, OIS, SMA Actuator, 1/1.3-inch sensor), a 180MP periscope telephoto camera (f/2.6 aperture, 2.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom), and a 50MP ultrawide unit (f/2.0 aperture, 122-degree FoV).
The primary camera integrates LOFIC technology and a large 1/1.3-inch sensor (H9800 – Howell OV50K). On the front, there’s a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 3D ToF sensor. Advanced facial scanning is featured, even in low-light conditions.
Both devices also offer DTS:X Ultra Sound Effects, stereo speakers, and connectivity features like Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, support 5G, and dual nano SIM card slots, along with dual-directional satellite communication, exclusive to the Magic6 Ultimate Edition. The software is powered by MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.

Pricing and availability
HONOR Magic6 RSR | Porsche Design is priced at 9,999 yuan (USD 1389 or Rs. 1,17,840 approx.) and comes in two colors: Agate Gray and Iceberry Pink. It will also be available in markets outside of China starting from Q2, 2024.
It is available in a single configuration variant with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and pre-sales have begun already in China, with official sale starting March 22.
On the other hand, the HONOR Magic6 Ultimate Edition is now available for pre-order and comes in two colors: Ink Black and Sky Purple, both with a leather texture. Pricing is as follows:
- 16 GB RAM + 512 GB: 6,999 yuan (USD 970 or Rs. 82,510 approx.).
- 16 GB RAM + 1 TB: 7,699 yuan (USD 1070 or Rs. 90,762 approx.).
It will be released for open sale starting on March 22nd.
In addition to these two smartphones, HONOR has revealed the availability of the MagicBook Pro 16 in China, priced at 6,199 yuan (USD 972 or Rs. 82,403 approx.). It is scheduled to launch globally in Q2, 2024.
